counting my blessings

Had a real nudge from the universe the last week. to make me realise, notice, be aware etc of blessings, my blessings. would be quite a lonnnnnnnng write to explain properly, but here i will try and condense it.
Recently, week or two ago, i was driving to my see my friend at around 90clock at night. it was dark and raining. i was listening to music, in a world of my own. when i drove past a shop where a homeless person was sitting, outside in the rain. i drove on past, when was clearly loudly told from spirit, to give him my last 5 pound note in my purse. you see i had had 10 pound note but had bought tea and suger just before hand, mins before. continue on i went driving when heard again, there was no where to turn in the road, or around, that i was contemplating after hearing it the first time. knowing not to ignore such guidance i drove ahead turned down the opposite side of the road went down a back road to bring me back on the main road, then drove up towards the shop. knowing there was a reason i had recieved such guidance. the exact reason wasnt my business, but presumed could be he needed food or a hot drink there and then, needed to be shown faith- light from someone- maybe was feeling low even suicidal, or needed alcohol to sooth his addiction pains and to help him sleep his problems away, to get through another day, or could be for me,,,,,,,,,,,,, to listen and act, to show reveal my faith, compassion and divine instructions that i do- do. also to give my last money away, though i knew i had enough petrol for the next day for work and food for dinner, i wasnt exactly flush myself. spirit knew this with financial worries over my head all week.
could of been for him, me or us both, but i knew to listen, not ignore.
i parked up outside the shop, walked over to him in the rain, noticed a hat with some pennys in, literally copper pennys scattered. and bent down to him and took his hand, his eyes locked into mine, i simply said, here mate,,,, and put the five pounds note into his palm, he looked stunned and ecstatic and as i was walking off he shouted out,,,,, bless you, i answered, and bless you.
what ever the reason for this intrevenance only spirit know. but i knew it had a purpose for him, me both?
since then i have had sooooooo many blessings, from gifts of people like chocolates, flowers, books, beautiful hugs and words of gratitude to me. pure blessing after blessing. all non stop over the next few days after that event. not that i was expecting any, dosnt work that way, i actually felt blessed by someone saying bless you, do you know what i mean. that experiance by hearing the guidance then acting on it was also a blessing.
simply put, it is the simple things that are the biggest really.
i feel i have alot of strength and faith, no power, ego intended here but i do, after a long learning journey. spirit, the universe has taught me alot, and still is. sometimes we all need to try and keep it simple. what gives us pleasure, what things words we can do for others, blessings, being aware of them !!! as too often they go a miss.
for one week, or one day, count how many you notice, from you to others and vice versa.
seriously think it will surprise you, if you are aware that is. so make an effort to notice, sense be aware.
